Archives and Special Collections
The Archives and Special Collections acquires, preserves, and disseminates archival documents in all media formats as well as rare books and other publications that support teaching and research at the University of Ottawa.
Our website and research guide (under revision) allow you to learn more about our services, our archival fonds and collections and our rare books, facsimiles, artist books, and pamphlet collections available. Also, you will find different tools and reference material useful for carrrying out research.
In addition to outreach activities such as the Treasures of the Library and the Archives in Context series of lectures, the Archives and Special Collections’ team offers guided tours and workshops and also curates regular exhibitions to highlight different aspects of the collections.
Giving to the Archives and Special Collections
The Archives and Special Collections gratefully accepts donations to help develop its services and collections. If you would like to make a gift of archival documents, rare books or a monetary donation, we would be happy to discuss this further with you.
