ArcGIS is a GIS software for visualizing, managing, creating, and analyzing geographic data. Using ArcGIS, you can understand the geographic context of your data, allowing you to see relationships and identify patterns in new ways.

Request a copy of ArcGIS Desktop:

  • Students:
    • Login to Kivuto
    • Click on the Esri tab
    • Order and Add to Cart ArcGIS Desktop (free).
    • Finish the order. Keep the EVA code.
  • Staff: Software Order Form

Free ArcGIS Desktop online courses

Free online courses are available to University of Ottawa staff and students. These courses are offered from ESRI's e-Learning website. Please follow these steps to gain access:

  1. Consult the e-Learning course list to ensure your interest in these courses.
  2. Contact the GSG Centre to gain access to these courses for one year.

You can also go to the GSG Centre, where some of the employees are knowledgeable in geographic information systems and may be able to assist you.
