Scope and content

This poster was produced to publicize the activities that took place on the occasion of International Women's Day 1986 in Toronto organized by March 8th Coalition. The theme selected for that year was Women say No! To Racism. Poster reads " Poster design by: Sunday Harrison from A.N.C. (African National Congress). Logo, typesetting and assembly by: Mars Media Communications Inc. Printed by: Union Labour at Our Times." Layered profile view of three female heads with yellow and green background. The poster was originally in the Women's History Information Center collection in Toronto where it was classified in the file "March 8th Coalition - March 1986 - Planning (1 of 2)" (Identifier: 10-001-S1-F1659). This collection comes from several donations made in the second half of the 1980s, by women involved in several Canadian organizations surrounding the feminist movement since the early 1970s.
