This series contains records from women's groups and women's centres that were established to improve the lives of women within Northwestern Ontario, from the mid-1970s to the early 1990s.
The series contains records from groups such as rape crisis centres, women's shelters, and disabled women's groups. The series is especially focussed on conference and workshop materials, governance documents. The series also contains funding applications to the Thunder Bay Branch of The Secretary of State, Women's Program.
