A star award

Join the University of Ottawa Library on January 27 to celebrate the work of Emily Regan Wills, recipient of the 2021 Open Scholarship Award.

Established in 2016, the University of Ottawa Library Open Scholarship Award recognizes faculty members and instructional staff who demonstrate excellence in supporting and practicing open scholarship. Open scholarship encompasses all aspects of open access, open data and open educational resources in both teaching and research.

Since her arrival at the University’s School of Political Studies, Professor Wills has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to open scholarship in both teaching and research. She serves as Co-Director of Community Mobilization in Crisis (CMIC), an international initiative to co-create, share and use open resources in four languages. Her video series on research methods in political science created for POL 2156 has reached students well beyond the University.

Join this virtual ceremony on January 27 at 2 p.m. to meet Professor Wills and learn more about her experience with open scholarship. Her presentation will be followed by a discussion.

When: Thursday, January 27, 2022, 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
