Biography/Administrative History: 
Jane Megarry, ca. 1881-1958, was born in Ireland and came to Canada in about 1901 to be a nurse and missionary. She was educated at the Galt Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta and the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia, and later nursed at St. Paul's School at Cardston and the Blackfoot (Siksika) hospital at Gleichen. She was made an honorary member of the Blackfoot, received the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, and had a chapter of the IODE in Lethbridge named after her. She adopted a Blood child, Mary (Laurence), and later retired to Victoria.
