Biography/Administrative History: 
Gertrude M. Hall was born May 6 1897. 1917-1918 Night Supervisor at Grace Hospital, Winnipeg. She graduated from the Winnipeg General Hospital in 1921. Awarded WGH gold medal for bedside nursing and $600 scholarship. 1924 Certificate for Public Health Nursing from School for Graduate Nurses of McGill University. Went on to work in a number of roles such as Superintendent of Nurses at Ethelbert Hospital, Manitoba 1921-1922, variety of public health roles, Supervisor of Manitoba Department of Health 1931-1935, Director of Public Health Nursing in Winnipeg City Health Dept. in 1943, and Director of Nursing at Calgary General Hospital 1952-1960. She died of a heart attack on October 14, 1960.
