Recycling Opera

This online exhibit presents an overview and comparison of two productions of W.A. Mozart’s opera Cosi fan tutte during the 1972 and 1973 National Arts Centre Summer Festival. The main artefacts presented here are newly catalogued costumes worn by the cast in both productions, as well as press reviews from both years. This exhibit explains how the NAC recycled the opera production and describes how, in the end, it was a success for the NAC’s foundation its early years.
