A digital resource exploring Canada's two-hundred year relationship with the most performed and translated playwright in the world.

Welcome to the University of Ottawa’s Shakespeare in Canada Exhibit

These exhibits showcase the wide spectrum of Canada’s 200-year relationship with Shakespeare, from the serious to the whimsical. This virtual exhibit is a counterpart to the physical exhibitions at the University of Ottawa campus.

The exhibits are spread throughout campus at three different locations:

1. Archives and Special Collections
(Stratford Room)
This is located in the lower floor of the Morrisett library at 65 University Private. Visit the Archives and Special Collections page to see their hours of operation.

2. Simard Building, 1st floor
(contains 'Shakespeare at UofO' and more!)
Located at 65 University Private, the main hallway on the first floor of the Simard contains six cabinets.

3. Desmarais Building, 3rd floor
(Whimsy Cabinet)
The third floor main hallway contains a large display cabinet.
